Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, David now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, after graduating from High Point University with a bachelor's degree in Finance. He will marry his fiancée, Chaning, in 2027, and they plan to continue attending Mercy Church. They met in 2024 while serving together on the leadership team of their college ministry.
