Frequently Asked Questions

What does your process look like? Will I be pressured to buy products?

We use a three-phase approach designed to give you control at every step. You’re never locked in, and you can stop at any phase without obligation.

  • Phase I: Retirement Strategy Call (No Cost) A complimentary 30-minute call to understand your situation, explore what’s working and what’s missing and see if there are real opportunities to optimize your retirement plan. We will provide any high-level thoughts and advice that we can on this call.
  • Phase II: IntegratedRetirement Plan (One-Time Flat Fee Between $1,000 and $5,000). If you’d like to move forward, we will build a comprehensive Integrated Retirement Plan covering Social Security optimization, tax planning, retirement income strategies, health care, and estate planning. The fee is tailored to the complexity of your Financial Planning needs. You pay 50% upfront and 50% upon completion. If you’re not completely satisfied with the value we’ve provided, we’ll refund 100% of your Phase II fee.
  • Phase III: Ongoing Retirement Planning (Fee Based on Assets Under Management, Which Is .95% on Assets Over $500,000 and 1.25% on Assets Under $500,000). Many clients choose to continue working with us for ongoing support. In this phase, we provide continuous guidance, implementation assistance, regular reviews and access to our team of CFP® professionals, a CPA, an EA and an estate attorney whenever questions arise. The fee is based on the assets we manage on your behalf.
When should I start retirement planning?

We recommend that you begin serious retirement planning about 10 to 15 years before you plan to stop working. At this stage, the choices you make about Social Security, taxes, investments and income strategies can have the largest impact on your long-term financial security.

How do I know if I have enough money to retire?

We build a tailored retirement income strategy to determine whether your savings will last throughout your retirement. When creating this strategy, our financial professionals evaluate several key factors:

  • Current savings and investments
  • Expected retirement income
  • Social Security benefits
  • Tax implications
  • Health care costs
  • Longevity planning
What is the biggest financial risk in retirement?

We often see that running out of money due to longevity, inflation and market volatility is a primary risk that retirees face. Many retirees also underestimate how long they will live or how inflation can impact their purchasing power over time. Our team will help you plan for these exact challenges.

Do I have to commit to ongoing services?

Absolutely not. Many clients work with us just for Phases I and II — they get their complimentary strategy call and comprehensive integrated retirement plan and implement it on their own. Others prefer ongoing support through Phase III. The choice is entirely yours, and completing one phase doesn’t obligate you to continue to the next.
